Del Mar Serene Sanctuary

The client requested a Japanese inspired Meditation Room where he could clear his mind and escape from a very busy schedule. The challenge was to combine the Craftsman style of the home with a Japanese flare. We transformed an existing office into a dreamy space by adding a misty forest wall mural and soft lighting from alabaster sconces. We designed a paneled treatment for the ceiling and walls that referenced traditional Japanese meditation rooms. Art, plants, and Tibetan singing bowls completed the conversion from a busy work environment into a tranquil space to contemplate and relax.
